在Ubuntu虛擬機中安裝VMware tools異常中斷 Unable to start services for VMware Tools

前言：我用的是VMware 10.0.3和Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS，host是Windows 7系統。

在VMware中裝完Ubuntu後，爲了與host之間互傳文件，需要安裝VMware tools。

在安裝過程中出現報錯，試了好幾次都沒有成功，報錯信息如下：

Creating a new initrd boot image for the kernel.

update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.img-3.13.0-32-generic

initctl: Unknown job: vmware-tools-thinprint

Unable to start services for VMware Tools

Execution aborted.

#############################

解決辦法如下：

在root權限下，運行下面的命令

# sudo su -

然後按照之前的流程就可以

安裝成功後，可看的如下信息：

The configuration of VMware Tools 9.6.2 build-1688356 for Linux for this 

running kernel completed successfully.

You must restart your X session before any mouse or graphics changes take

You can now run VMware Tools by invoking "/usr/bin/vmware-toolbox-cmd" from the

command line.

To enable advanced X features (e.g., guest resolution fit, drag and drop, and 

file and text copy/paste), you will need to do one (or more) of the following:

1. Manually start /usr/bin/vmware-user

2. Log out and log back into your desktop session; and,

3. Restart your X session.
