RedHat Enterprise 5 升級firefox

一開始的時候總是無法升級firefox

XPCOMGlueLoad error for file /opt/firefox/libxpcom.so:
libxul.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Couldn't load XPCOM.

# yum remove libavcodec52

Removed:
  libavcodec52.x86_64 0:0.7.10-50.fc16                                                                                    

Dependency Removed:
  cinelerra.x86_64 0:2.1-24.2_git20110613.fc15_88

然後執行yum install firefox -y

這樣子直接升級到了10版本，但是最新的firefox版本爲12，所以繼續

在firefox官網上下載了最新的linux版本的文件壓縮包firefox-12.0.tar.bz2

解壓之後直接運行./firefox

然後就可以打開firefox，到help->about firefox 查看版本已經update情況，默認情況下是會自動更新的。
