2001-2011年，SCI收錄至少有一位中國學者（不包括臺灣地區）發表的論文1,016,482篇（截至到2012年10月6日按出版年統計），其中自動化與控制系統 (Automation Control Systems)學科論文9004篇，包括學術論文8824篇、會議論文574篇、社論108篇、更正31篇、通訊22篇、綜述17篇、傳記1篇等。
其中，9004篇文章共發表在86種自動化與控制系統學科期刊上。Springer出版的International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology，《國際先進製造技術雜誌》，刊登了中國學者發表的論文1139篇；International Journal of Innovative Computing Information and Control，《國際創新計算、信息與控制雜誌》，2011年沒有影響因子（因有異常引用被2011年出版的JCR鎮壓）；Lecture Notes in Control and Information Sciences《控制與信息科學講義》2007年被SCI剔除。
