思科(CISCO)的設備,默認僅能使用CISCO配套的光模塊,其它產商的光模塊(未通過CISCO認證的)是無法使用的.如果在CISCO設備上使用了未通過認證的光模塊,設備上會顯示Unknown或Unsupport等信息.CISCO通過SFP加密機制進行驗證,防止非法的SFP使用,之所以這樣做,無非出於兩方便原因:
1)避免非認證的模塊使用出現不必要的風險,增加設備後期支持維護的投入。
2)光模塊配套銷售,在網絡設備佔據大半江山的背景下進一步推動光模塊的配套銷量
在日常使用中,可能會被該問題困擾,身邊暫時沒有CISCO配套的光模塊,這種情況下,可以通過臨時關閉光模塊檢測的功能來實現未認證的光模塊接入,具體操作如下:
1.進入相應端口的配置模式,先不插入相應光模塊
2.輸入如下隱藏命令(無法使用TAB鍵補齊)
serviceunsupported-transceiver
noerrdisable detect cause gbic-invalid
speednonegotiate
3.保存配置
4.重新插入光模塊
按上述四個步驟操作完成後,CISCO設備則不會再對光模塊進行驗證,可正常使用第三方的光模塊,但這僅是臨時性驗證的做法,官方是不給任何承諾和保證的.
