案例十：虛擬機遷移報錯視頻RAM不足
發生時間：2012-10-08
故障現象：將虛擬機test123從ESXi主機A遷移到ESXi主機B上的過程中，遷移失敗，報錯：“The migration has exceeded the maximum switchover time of 100 second(s). ESX has preemptively failed the migration to allow the virtual machine to continue running on the source. To avoid thisfailure, either increase the maximum allowable switchover time or wait until the virtual machine is performing a less intensive workload.”
故障分析：查看報錯的詳細信息後，虛擬機的視頻RAM不足，即虛擬機的分辨率。需要在虛擬機配置文件中增大該虛擬機的視頻RAM空間。
解決建議：右擊此虛擬機 — 編輯設置，在虛擬機屬性裏，硬件選項卡中，選擇“顯卡”，在右面顯示的詳細信息中設置“總視頻內存”調大10MB~20MB。再次遷移此虛擬機OK了，如還是不行，就繼續調大。
