記錄一次系統設置打不開排錯過程

這兩個月WPS官方狂刷了幾個版本，現在搜狗輸入法不能在WPS輸入中文了。
當然，這是我個例，並不是通病。我用虛擬機安裝試驗過。
想修復，試過各種方法，最終提交給WPS官方測試了。
今天忽然發現系統“設置”打不開了，點擊沒反應。私以爲這幾天折騰壞系統了？
第一反應查看一下系統日誌，看看報什麼認錯。亦或者命令行執行一下，或許也能看到錯誤日誌。

段錯誤
有Error，有原因。怎麼解決呢？嘗試一下看看情況。
××××××:~$ systemctl start bolt.service
Failed to start bolt.service: Access denied

××××××:~$ systemctl status bolt.service
● bolt.service
Loaded: masked (/dev/null; bad)
Active: inactive (dead)
意思就是，“設置”打不開，因爲“Unit bolt.service is masked”。直接打開bolt.service也是報錯。
查看bolt.service狀態，發現是masked狀態。
那麼，是否意味着更改爲unmask就好了呢？
××××××:~$ systemctl unmask bolt
Removed /etc/systemd/system/bolt.service.
××××××:~$ gnome-control-center
久違的熟悉界面，果然打開了“設置”。在dock或者panel或者右上角，也都能打開“設置”了。
解決後，打開“設置”，第一個頁面是thunderbolt，我突然想起來，前幾天有過一次打開
設置---thunderbolt，然後設置崩潰的經歷。當時並未在意。“設置”會記住最後一次使用的選項，下次打開默認就是最後一次使用的選項。
於是就出現，打不開“設置”的假象。
這麼看來，如果清除“設置”的相關配置，應該也一樣能打開“設置”，只是仍然不能點擊thunderbolt選項。我本機並沒有thunderbolt設備。
