Rel涉及的值：

Here are some additional values, each of which can be used or omitted in any combination (unless otherwise noted, and except where prohibited by law) and their meanings, symmetry對稱的, transitivity傳遞性 and inverse可逆性 if any.

分類：友誼—只能選擇一個Friendship(pick at most one)

Contact，能夠聯繫到的人；通常是對稱的

Someone you know how to get in touch with. Often symmetric.

Acquaintance，熟人；通常是對稱的

Someone who you have exchanged greetings and not much (if any) more — maybe a short conversation or two. Often symmetric.

Friend，通常是對稱的

Someone you are a friend to. A compatriot, buddy, home(boy|girl) that you know. Often symmetric.

分類：物理的physical

Met，對稱的

Someone who you have actually met in person. Symmetric.

分類：職業的Professional

Co-woker，在一起工作或在同一個組織機構工作的人；總是具有傳遞性

Someone a person works with, or works at the same organization as. Symmetric. Usually transitive.

Colleague，在研究/活動中同一領域的同事；通常具有傳遞性

Someone in the same field of study/activity. Symmetric. Often transitive.

分類：地理的--只能選擇一個geographical (pick at most one)

Co-resisdent，指住在一起的人；具有對稱性和傳遞性

Someone you share a street address with. Symmetric and transitive.

Neighbor，鄰居；通常具有傳遞性

Someone who lives nearby, perhaps only at an adjacent street address or doorway. Symmetric. Often transitive.

分類：家庭的—只能選擇一個family (pick at most one)

Child，子女，可以是收養的；與Parent互逆

A person's genetic offspring, or someone that a person has adopted and takes care of. Inverse is parent.

Parent，與Child互逆

Inverse of child.

Sibling，兄弟姐妹；具有對稱性，總是具有傳遞性

Someone a person shares a parent with. Symmetric. Usually transitive.

Spouse，配偶；具有對稱性，沒有傳遞性

Someone you are married to. Symmetric. Not transitive.

Kin，親戚；具有對稱性，典型的具有傳遞性

A relative, someone you consider part of your extended family. Symmetric and typically transitive.

分類：浪漫的—romantic

Muse，爲你帶來靈感、妙計的人；不可逆。

Someone who brings you inspiration. No inverse.

Crush，迷戀、非常喜歡的人（猜：有點像單相思，只是單方面迷戀）；不可逆

Someone you have a crush on. No inverse.

Date，約會對象；具有對稱性，沒有傳遞性

Someone you are dating. Symmetric. Not transitive.

Sweetheart，專有的（不濫交）婚外有性關係的人？（猜：情婦/情夫）；沒有傳遞性

Someone with whom you are intimate and at least somewhat committed, typically exclusively. Symmetric. Not transitive.

分類：標識符—Identity

Me，和“我”相關的其它URL；要求具有對稱性

A link to yourself at a different URL. Exclusive of all other XFN values. Required symmetric. There is an implicit "me" relation from the contents of a directory to the directory itself.（最後這句不好翻譯……）

【後記】

由 Romantic類別的屬性可以看出，中西方文化的差異，比如這些概念便沒有提及：紅/藍顏知己、伯樂等。
