1.先來看幾個例子
(1)你想在NYTimes上查看學校的 test scores，但不是SATs，而且年限要在2008-2010之間。
那麼輸入如下的輸入會得到更好的結果：
site:nytimes.com ~college “test scores” –SATs 2008..2010
a>利用site指定只在nytimes.com這個域名上搜索內容
b>利用~來搜索相關的內容，如這裏college對應的詞有higher education or university
c>利用雙引號只搜索相應的短語，還不是分開的單詞
d>利用兩句點來表示時間年限
(2)關於普通燕子的空速的報道
filetype:pdf intitle:velocity *swallow
三個部分：
a> filetype:pdf 指定了要搜索的文件的類型，除了例子中指定的pdf外，還可以指定doc, jpg, png, 等等格式
b> intitle:velocity只顯示出那些包含velocity的搜索結果
c> *swallow 利用*表示中心詞是swallow，但是前面可以匹配其它的限定詞在這裏比方說還可以有其它類型的swallow，如Red Rumped swallow, LesserStriped swallow等都會在結果中列出。
2. 搜索技巧
(1)利用引號限定搜索的特定詞語，如 "chinese cultural"
(2)利用連字符去掉不相關的搜索結果，如 -American, 除掉美國相關的內容
(3)利用site關鍵字限定搜索網站，如site:google.com
(4)利用link找鏈接，如link:nytime.com 找鏈接到nytime.com的鏈接
(5)利用*號做通配符，如 come * right now * at me
(6)找到與某一網站相關的其它網站，如related: amazon.com
(7)直接做數學運算，如： 3*4+5，Planck's Constant 普朗克常量
(8)利用OR連接符做多個搜索詞的結果，如"howto prepare for a job interview" OR "Best way to prepare for a jobinterview"
(9)利用..來限定數字或時間範圍，如What teamshave won the Stanley Cup .. 2004, 42..45
(10)慢慢的添加關鍵詞，如第一次：job interviews, 第二次：prepare for job interview, 第三鎰：how to prepare for a job interview
(11)儘量使用關鍵的單詞：如：Where can I find a Chinese restaurant that delivers. 可以用：Chinese restaurants nearby 代替
(12)儘量使用描述性語句，而不要用問句，如應該使用：troubleshoot driver problems Ubuntu 而不是：how to install drivers in Ubuntu
(13)利用filetype找特定的文件，如 finiance anlysis filetype:pdf
(14)google能直接對單位進行轉換，如貨幣轉換，重量，溫度等單位的換算
