爲了給奧運建立好形象，豎立在北京公共場所的“中國式英語”（Chinglish）標識已開始逐步清除，一些看慣中式幽默英語的老外對這道城市風景即將結束而深感哀嘆。有者甚至表示，不在乎北京英語是否正確，廁所幹淨比較重要。
對中式英語情有獨鍾的老外，目前正四處張羅，爭取把大量幽默收錄在博客中。他們當中就有一位叫紀韶融的德國青年。
