Description
There is some unnecessary acquisition of the list header block (LISTHEAD)
in ASM.
REDISCOVERY INFORMATION
A symptom of this bug is long times to query v$asm related views such as
v$asm_disk , v$asm_file.
As we hold lhbp unnecessarily during these long scans, a cascading effect is
possible on various processes (archiver, lgwr, ...)
potentially slowing down instance(s) severely.
Sessions on ASM instances would wait for GCS lock open X , GCS lock esc X ,
buffer busy on a LISTHEAD buffer type...
Workaround
1. Until the fix is applied, disable dbconsole or Grid Control for the database/ASM
instance.
2. Stop any query referencing v$asm* views, specially v$asm_file.
