1009次被拒絕
Once, there was an old man, who was broke, living in a tiny house and owned a beat-up（破舊的） car.
曾經有一位破產的老人，他住在一個小房子裏，有一輛破舊的汽車。
He was living off （靠...生活）of $99 social security checks.
他靠每月99美元的社保支票維持生活。
At 65 years of age, he decided that things had to change.
在65歲的時候，他覺得自己需要做出改變。
So he thought about what he had to offer. His friends raved（狂熱讚揚） about his chicken recipe.
所以他開始想他能做些什麼。朋友們都對他的炸雞配方讚不絕口。
He decided that this was his best shot at making a change.

He left Kentucky and traveled to different states to try to sell his recipe.
於是他離開肯塔基州，到各個州去推銷他的炸雞配方。
He told restaurant owners that he had a mouthwatering chicken recipe.

He offered the recipe to them for free, just asking for a small percentage on the items sold.

Sounds like a good deal, right? Unfortunately, not to most of the restaurants.

Even after all of those rejections, he didn't give up.

Remember, never give up and always believe in yourself in spite of rejection.
