Problem/Symptoms | |
When you initiate chat (from the DS server) to the client machine - it is possible to type chinese characters in the chat window on the DS server and send out. - On the client machine, it is not possible to type chinese characters even though chinese input is selected. English letters are appearing instead. - On the client machine, if you copy and paste Chinese characters into the chat window, it is able to send. |

ENV: DS 6.9 SP3 (430) installed on a CHS Windows 2003 ( CHS = Chinese Simplified ) Client machine: Windows XP CHS SP2, SP3, Windows 2003 SP2 Client machine using AClient ( as DAgent does not support chat) |

This problem is under investigations. |
Resolution | |
Symantec is aware of this issue, and will update this KB when this issue has been resolved. In the meantime, the workaround for this issue is to copy/paste responses into the chat window. |
