如何查看Cisco Sup720的SP與RP的內存和FLASH狀態
首先Cisco 720引擎由SP(Switch Processor)和RP(Route Processor)組成,完整的引擎上會有3個
部分:一是最下面那塊大板(引擎),另一個是右邊的一塊子卡(PFC),最後是左邊的子卡
(MSFC),引擎和PFC合稱交換引擎(SP),MSFC稱路由引擎(RP)。
SP和RP是獨立的操作系統,所以各自有Flash和Memory。如上圖(圖片來源於Cisco官方文檔),
左邊的Flash和內存屬於SP,右邊的Flash和內存屬於RP。
另外,Flash有內置和外置之分。內置的叫bootflash,外置的在Sup1上叫Slot0:,從Sup2開始,Cisco
支持ATA格式的PCMCIA Flash,因此Sup2上會有Slot0:和Disk0:,如果是MEM格式的用Slot0:,如果
是ATA格式的用Disk0:,到Sup720,開始用CF卡,也就只支持ATA格式了。SP上的所有設備都會有個
sup-的前綴,所以sup-bootflash:就是SP上的Flash,sup-slot0:就是SP上的PCMCIA插槽。而RP上的Flash
則直接是bootflash。
注意:在從CatOS升級到IOS之後,原先引擎中的bootflash會被改名爲sup-bootflash,而原先MSFC
的bootflash會被認爲是升級後的引擎的bootflash。雖然如此,但6500/7600是不能通過MSFC的bootflash
上的IOS啓動的,而必須通過sup-bootflash中的IOS啓動。即,運行Native IOS時,IOS文件必須被放置
在sup-bootflash中,纔會啓動。放在bootflash是可以的,但無法啓動。
如果是運行CatOS 加MSFC 的IOS 時,SP(Swtich processer)作爲SUP 引擎的主控系統(運行
CatOS),MSFC作爲引擎的RP(Router Processer)子卡存在(運行IOS),在這種情況下CatOS文件和
IOS文件是相互獨立的兩個文件。
但Native IOS文件同時包含了RP部分和SP部分。所以如果是運行Native IOS,那麼引擎先從SP引導,
讀取IOS中SP的部分,加載成功後將控制轉到RP,進行RP部分的引導,但由於RP中的Flash是沒有
IOS的(放在裏面也不會被啓動),所以用TFTP的形式從SP下載IOS中的RP部分,引導完後,控制權
留在RP上,因此在啓動完成後的引擎上show version,可以發現IOS版本與flash中的文件稍有不同,會
有一個rp的字樣,這表示的RP部分,而切換到SP的Console後再show version則可以看到sp的字樣。
說明:通過命令remote command switch show version可以直接顯示SP 控制檯的show version命令。或
者執行remote command module x show version(其中x代表引擎的槽位號)也是一樣的。如果想直接登陸
到SP的控制檯,可以通過執行remote login switch,或者remote login module x(x代表引擎的槽位號)。
這些命令在升級SUP2的內存和FLASH時用於確定信息比較有用。

由上面的顯示結果可知,sup-bootflash的大小爲512MB,bootflash的大小爲64MB。即,SP的flash大
小爲512MB,RP的flash大小爲64MB。

可以看到執行remote login switch就可以將控制檯從RP切換到SP。在SP下執行show version與在RP
下直接執行remote command switch show version的效果是一樣的。
