在Windows版本中，本來安裝的Domino Server的時候已經是選擇免費版本，那應該是單用戶的吧，爲什麼安裝Domino Designer的時候就不可以了呢，還報這個錯誤：
“Domino Designer 您正在試圖升級多用戶安裝。請獲取正確的安裝包以完成升級”
打開註冊表：Regedit
想想windows裏的註冊表是不是默認給設置成多用戶的呢？第一次找到
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Lotus\Notes
看到名稱爲MultiUser的項，興奮之餘把它的值改成0了，再試還是不行，然後重啓還是不行，再回去確認一下有沒有改。
原來下面還有一個版本號8.0下面也有一個項叫MultiUser的項，再次改了，無需重啓直接安裝Domino Designer成功，順便把Domino Administrator也給安裝了。

出現的場景：
先裝好了Notes，後準備裝Designer。

解決方法: 這個錯誤信息出現在Notes客戶端時可能某些程度上造成了誤解。
通常，問題發生在操作系統和網絡驅動程序缺少資源而不是在客戶端連接到或者嘗試連接的Lotus Domino 服務器。 (注意: 這個錯誤可能會在Domino服務器控制檯上面出現；在這種情況下，問題可能在 Domino服務器端。Domino服務器管理員可以參考管理員幫助來排錯。)

問題: Inbox視圖忽然沒有了
解決方法: 請刷新或替換郵件模板，在工作臺上選中這個郵箱右擊->應用程序-> 刷新設計或替換設計。
替換設計之後，從工作臺上選中這個郵件圖標，按Del鍵，當前的圖標將從工作臺上刪除 。然後重新加載郵箱，可以從Open下拉菜單中打開郵件，一個新的圖標將會在工作臺上生成。
刷新設計，您可以選擇本地或服務器上的郵件模板，系統用本地或服務器上的模板刷新設計
刷新設計後， Inbox會顯示出來，但是原來Inbox裏的郵件是不能恢復到Inbox裏的，您可以從All Documents裏找到原來的郵件。因爲Inbox是一個文件夾，記錄它裏面包含的郵件，當這個文件夾被刪除後，相應的郵件指針也丟失了。

問題: 當使用Notes8.5.3時，在本地通訊錄創建一個羣組，在發送郵件的時候，當抄送欄裏面的某個單獨用戶名在該羣組裏，則郵件發送給羣組，抄送該用戶後，收件人收到的郵件中，抄送欄裏自動去掉了羣組中包含的該用戶。
如果發送郵件的時候郵遞選項裏選擇不展開個人羣組，就不會自動去掉，
這個現象跟以前的版本如Notes8.5.2是不一樣的，Notes8.5.2中發送的該郵件會在抄送中顯示該用戶。
比如：test羣組裏包含ITadmin，郵件發送，發給test羣組，抄送ITadmin，
所有接收人看到郵件顯示抄送沒有了ITadmin這個名字，發件人的發件箱裏保存的郵件也是一樣現象。
解決方法: 這個現象是Notes853客戶端的一個新功能改進，設計就是如此。
該功能的目的是爲了將收件人爲羣組裏的用戶如果出現在抄送中，會將抄送中的用戶名去掉，爲的是避免出現重複收到郵件的可能。
如果想恢復到以前一樣，可以在Notes客戶端的notes.ini文件中加入一行參數：
MAIL_CHECK_META_DUPS=0（如果加在最後一行，記得下面空出一行空行 ），

問題: I just encountered a problem in using LN 8.5.3. We have mailda setup to lookup multiple address books. When I do a name search by F9 in a new memo, duplicated entries will be pop up if I set the value of “Recipient name lookup” to “Exhaustively check all address books” in location doc. However, it has no problem if changed to “Stop after first match”. Moreover, this setting also trigger the “Unable to send mail…..” message when I click on some buttons in our apps where notesdocument.send method is used. I am raising this issue as these behaviour do not appear in LN7 even the setting is “Exhaustively check all address books”. I did a search on IBM KB and found these: As it is not feasible to modify all the apps to append domain name in the SendTo address as suggested in KB1, I would like to see if you know any workaround if we keep the setting to “Exhaustively check all address books”. 問題: 用戶點擊鏈接，打不開位於其他國家服務器的Notes數據庫，即便他們有訪問權限
解決方法: 在Notes客戶端先連接一下國外的服務器，輸入IP地址，第一次連接成功時會自動創建連接文檔。
然後你再去打開那個數據庫的鏈接
問題: 根據選擇條件進行歸檔，郵件沒有被刪除，但是選中某些郵件後手工進行歸檔，郵件卻能夠被刪除。
解決方法: 作爲變通方法，在Domino 控制檯運行load compact -a mail\user.nsf 進行歸檔，郵件被刪除了
問題: 歸檔時，提示Notes error， 未刪除部分選中的文檔，因爲此數據庫仍在使用這些文檔
解決方法: 重複的日曆項，被標記爲follow up的郵件，To Do待辦事項，從Stationary創建的郵件，這些郵件是不會被歸檔的。
問題: notes信箱是否可以自動轉發外發的郵件到一個特定外網信箱
解決方法: notes沒有這個功能，能實現自動轉發收到的郵件，不能實現自動轉發用戶外發的郵件到外網特定信箱。
問題: 是否可以批量解密郵件。
解決方法: 設計如此，無法批量解密。
問題: 建立 本地組 名字和服務器上的名稱 一致 然後 寫郵件時，type ahead 即出不了服務器上的組了
解決方法: 測試發現，這個僅僅是個例，建議用戶清理本地聯繫人，尤其是最近聯繫人信息。問題不再發生
問題: 用戶更改了操作系統的設置，使用了較大號的字體，而且影響了Notes客戶端的字體顯示。客戶端的字體顯示能否不受操作系統的影響？
解決方法: 在客戶端首選項->字體和顏色，這裏說的很清楚，有些部分可以在這裏設置，而其他的會跟隨操作系統的
問題: “Mark private”羣組是如何工作的。用戶將羣組標記爲私有，切換另一個用戶的ID，發現還是可以看到這個羣組
解決方法: “Mark private”只是對服務器上的通訊錄（同步到郵箱中的聯繫人）有效，而對本地的通訊錄是無效的
問題: 收到的郵件包含嵌入的Tiff文件在Notes客戶端顯示成紅叉
解決方法: Notes目前還不支持內嵌的.TIFF 圖片。功能增強請求已經被提交給質量工程部門，編號爲SPR # XQCO7TSDGB

問題: 密碼修改時顯示規則 太多 現用戶希望能夠調整Notes客戶端修改密碼窗口的部分規則，譬如只顯示“1. 最小長度：8；3. 最小字母字符數：“等，其他規則隱藏。
解決方法: 安全策略中啓用了自定義密碼管理，所以就會看到這些選項，這個默認的合理的顯示。
問題: 如何把郵件地址導出到文件裏面，是否有命令方式
解決方法: 1. Export email addresses from local names.nsf or user mail file, then using the More -> Export Contacts options.
2. Export email address from server names.nsf, then using the File->Export Contacts options, or copy all contacts to one excel table.
3. 沒有命令的方式來導出所有郵件地址。
問題: 在正文裏添加附件後，發送外部郵件後，附件顯示在下面
解決方法: 版本差異，851之前的版本就是如此
