Job Description:
Support and maintain Asia-Pacific region networks
- Install, monitor, optimize and troubleshoot network equipment, including switch, router, ***, load balancer etc.
- Dealing with daily operations of these systems, including but not limited to Firewall, ***, Email, DNS etc.
- Design, optimize and upgrade corporate networks, including Layer 1/2 LAN/WAN/site-to-site *** and layer 3 routing etc.
- Support and manage various Linux systems for networking related services.
- Advanced troubleshooting of emergency situations on the network, must be able to work flexible hours and overtime as required
- Maintain strong security which does not unduly impede computing activities. Implement and supervise computer and network security policies and procedures, monitor for IT resource abuse
- Maintain documentation regarding network configuration, operation and troubleshooting procedures, and service records relating to network hardware and software
Manage projects
- You must also be able to take unfinished projects and lead them to completion
- Interact with other companies for external connections outside as well as other subsidiaries to ensure the proper functioning of the global network
- Analyze the company’s network needs and evaluate vendor recommendations; provide comprehensive network design specifications for additions and upgrades to the existing infrastructure
- Keep updated of the market for operating systems and relevant network products and technologies.
Specific/Technical Competencies:
The ideal candidate possesses a minimum of 6 years in Networking and Linux Systems Administration in a large organization. We are looking for an autonomous, responsible and dynamic person that wants to take part in an ambitious and passionate team. Required Skills:
- In-depth knowledge and experience in the design, implement and maintenance of Cisco and Linux/UNIX-based network infrastructure, such as firewall, ***, LAN and WAN.
- Excellent knowledge of HA and load balance technologies.
- In-depth knowledge on telecom technologies.
- Must also have strong knowledge of Cisco network high end router and switch.
- Cisco Call Manager experience is an advantage.
- Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP protocols and applications.
- Be ready for IP v6 planning and implementation.
- Must be a self-starter that requires only limited supervision/guidance.
- Must be a team player and have good inter-personal communication skills, able to communicate effectively with all levels of technology users.
Additional Skills:
- Knowledge of scripting (BASH, PERL, etc.).
- Knowledge of Microsoft products and technology.
- Knowledge of Data center management.
- Knowledge of Data Storage Technologies (NAS and SAN).
- BS Computer Science or related study.
- Minimum 6 years of experience on network administration in large corporate environment.
- Minimum 3 years of experience on Linux/Unix system administration.
- Cisco CCIE certification preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Experience on IT project management
