簡介
Zimbra與衆不同的特點是其“Zimlet”網絡服務提供了更多的電子郵件功能。例如，人們可以簡單地用鼠標點擊電子郵件程序中的航班信息以檢查航班的狀況。用戶還可以在電子郵件中跟蹤FedEx公司的投遞情況並且獲得地圖、股票和其它信息。
Zimbra的核心產品是Zimbra協作套件（Zimbra Collaboration Suite，簡稱ZCS）。除了它的核心功能是電子郵件和日程安排服務器，當然還包括許多其它的功能，就象是下一代的微軟Exchange。在電子郵件和日程安排之外，它還提供文檔存儲和編輯、即時消息以及一個利用獲獎技術開發的全功能的管理控制檯。ZCS同時也提供移動設備的支持，以及與部署於Windows、Linux或apple操作系統中的桌面程序的同步功能。

它打破傳統電子郵件的限制，提供集成的信息和協作辦公，以提高工作效率，通過自動整理的郵箱、標籤以及對話視圖，zimbra讓電子郵件易於管理，提供即時信息、共享日曆以及快捷的文檔創作和協作功能，改變由他人協作的方式，使用zimbra可以在任何地點從任意計算機訪問自己的賬戶，而無論使用的是windows、apple還是linux操作系統，zimbra還可以與blackberry、iphone等手持設備同步，即使在路上也能時刻掌握最新資訊，zimbra可以作爲個人電子郵件操作系統，也可以用於整個組織。既可以本地部署，也可以部署在託管服務器上。

將named及network服務設置爲開機啓動，將sendmail服務停止：

[root@zcs ~]# service sendmail stop

進入ZCS軟件包的目錄，解壓ZCS tgz包：

進入ZCS軟件包目錄，找到安裝啓動文件並查看幫助：

在CentOS-5.5-64bit上安裝ZCS For RHEL5的軟件包，需要加參數--platform-override：

切換成zimbra用戶(安裝zimbra時系統自動創建)，查看ZCS套件工作的狀態：

瀏覽器訪問頁面地址：
管理員登陸頁面：https://192.168.0.3:7071/zimbraAdmin/（需要DNS配置成功做解析支持）或https://192.168.0.3:7071，帳戶：admin，密碼：123456（安裝時的設置）。
