Mandatory ORACLE patches required for a supported 10.2.0.4
: (THOSE PATCHES ARE AVAILABLE ON FERMAT FPS FTP SITE)
For all platforms :
· WRONG CARDINALITY FOR A QUERY OVER PARTITIONED TABLES WITH GLOBAL STATS: bug 8314673 : workaround : set hidden parameter "_partition_view_enabled" = false
For Windows platforms, Patchset 18 minimum to be installed. Fermat recommends current patchset (19) :32-Bit Patch 8392340 ; 64-Bit (x64) Patch 8392341 ; 64-Bit (Itanium) Bug 8392342
For other platforms, one-off patches to be applied on top of 10.2.0.4 :
· Patch 7190270 : Dictionary inconsistency caused by CTAS in PARALLEL using 10.2.0.4.0 producing several ORA-600 errors,
· Patch 7263842 : ORA-955 during CTAS / OERI [ktsircinfo_num1] / dictionary inconsistency for PARTITIONED Tables,
· Queries with Subpartition Pruning Get Suboptimal Execution Plan on 10.2.0.4 :
· AIX : patch 7210921,
· Linux, SUN : merge Patch 7269109 : fixes 7210921 AND 6506617
· Patch 6896371 : ORA-1008 during DBMS_STATS.GATHER_TABLE_STATS. This patch is to prevent dictionary corruption. If you encounter this error, please apply Metalink Note 620120.1 to fix dictionary corruption,
· patch 6047490, A query containing a CONNECT_BY_ROOT can fail with ORA-932 or ORA-600 [qctcte1],
· Fix Memory leak for Data Mover :
· Linux, AIX : patch 6456530
· Patch 6374297 - Drop column on a virtual column gets ORA-39726 with fix for bug 6268371
· Patch 7123643 : Wrong results (NULL) from select on compressed table
· Patch 6870937 : ORA-00600 [729] at end of session
Known issues in 10.2.0.4, being investigated :
· r38327 : ORA-00001: unique constraint (SYS.I_TABCOMPART_BOPART$) violated during create context : SR 7454974.993: ORA-1 when splitting a partition. Workaround implemented,
· r39909 (r38947) : Exception not fired using raise_application_error long text and dynamic sql : SR 7508170.994 opened to ORACLE support, workaround implemented,
· r39771 : during check errors : performance issue on DELETE in ALL_CHECK_ERRORS : ORACLE bug 8521739 : SUBQUERY UNNESTING NOT HAPPENS IN 10G FOR SQL INVOLVING NOT IN
· r35067 : ORA-07445 with multi table insert after upgrade to 10.2.0.4 : SR 7207552.994 opened with ORACLE support. Bug 7201637 ?
· INCORRECT CARDINALITY WHEN USING HISTOGRAMS - 6 CHARACTERS VS 7 CHARACTERS.
· ORACLE bug 6934892 (available genericaly - included in patch 7218677 : Patchset 5 for Windows) : Application of the patch does not fix issue at Fermat, still working with ORACLE support.
