Step 1 : Get the Install File<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
l VMware Server 1.0.6 is recommended
Registration URL : to get serial number from http://register.vmware.com/content/registration.html
Download URL : to get the RPM installer package fromhttp://register.vmware.com/content/download-106.html
Step 2 : Install VMware Server
l Run the RPM package
Step 3 : Install the Required Package to Run the Vmware Server
(If you first use yum,please see here Appendix I)
l Install gcc :
run “yum install gcc” in the terminal
l Install the Kernel Source Include File
Run the install package named “kernels-devel-”(kernels include file)+buildnums from the installer disc
l Install “xinetd” , “libXtst-devel” and “libXrender-devel”
Use “yum install” to install them
