設置好3d特效

ubuntu7.10裝好久了，今天終於抽空安裝好3d effect.我的顯卡是ati radeon xpress 1100.

花了我2個小時？

• 首先確定驅動安裝正確：

fglrxinfo

display: :0.0  screen: 0
OpenGL vendor string: ATI Technologies Inc.
OpenGL renderer string: ATI Radeon Xpress Series
OpenGL version string: 2.0.6473 (8.37.6)
以上信息表示ati的驅動安裝好了

• 然後確定3d特效打開

glxinfo | grep direct
direct rendering: Yes

• 先試着打開特效

最初提示："The Composite extension is not available"

於是在 etc/X11/xorg.conf裏設置

Section “Extensions”
Option “Composite” “Enable”
EndSection

然後的提示信息是:
"Desktop effects could not be enabled"

還有問題

• 查找論壇， 找到一個答案：要安裝xserver-xgl， 安裝好後， 特效果然可以開。鑑於第一條出錯信息， /etc/X11/xorg.conf文件的改動還是保存了。
