假如我說，“高女人，
關上你黑屋子的
門，巨型卷丹百合
就會在夜裏
把每間房子的屋頂

大卸八塊，又佈置
月亮只能獨處，
要到黎明
才準離開，”
你就會淺笑，

去想明麗的
花卉，就忘掉
錢和購物的事情，
但如我接着說，“我只
看到你的百合

在我的黑甜裏生長，
想來是你屋前屋後
並沒替在未知之夜
前來的朵朵繁花
修個花園，”

你會突然就
哭喊，或拿本書，
長夜漫漫裏
或在白色走道上
一人瞎逛。

Tall Women

If I said, "Tall women,
shut in your dark
houses, an enormous
tiger lily splits
the roof of each house

in the night, and arranges
the moon to itself,
and only withdraws
just at dawn,"
you would smile,

and think about bright
flowers, and forget
the money and the shopping,
but if I went on, "I only
see your lilies grow

in my happy sleep,
because you have made no gardens
in your blocks of houses
for flowers that come
in oblivious night,"

you would suddenly
cry, or pick up a book,
or walk by yourselves
all night long
on the white sidewalks.
