create-react-app webpack4升級webpack5

因爲腳手架默認是隱藏webpack配置的,所以需要先運行npm run eject或yarn eject暴露配置文件,然後我們就可以開始升級了。

升級需要改動的文件包括分爲package.js、 webpack.config.js、webpackDevServer.config 三處。

package.json 更新

主要是webpack相關包、babel相關包、react相關包、postcss相關包,直接貼對比圖了。

webpack.config.js文件的更新

部分插件棄用

PnpWebpackPlugin、ManifestPlugin、WatchMissingNodeModulesPlugin、ModuleScopePlugin、typescriptFormatter,主要刪除對應的配置。

部分配置棄用

output移除futureEmitAssets屬性。

node配置移動到fallback,參考官網遷移指南。

WorkboxWebpackPlugin移除importWorkboxFrom和navigateFallbackBlacklist屬性。

ForkTsCheckerWebpackPlugin 移除 formatter 屬性。

ManifestPlugin 更名爲 WebpackManifestPlugin 。
jsonpFunction 更名爲 chunkLoadingGlobal 。

部分報錯處理

報錯process is not defined,解決方法:鏈接,這裏注意一點,如果改完之後報錯Cannot find module 'process/browser' ,需要安裝node-libs-browser這個依賴。

我這裏最終改完的webpack.config.js 完整文件如下,這裏因爲項目中使用less,所以🈶關的sass配置註釋掉了改成了less,其他都是默認腳手架的配置,沒有額外優化。(目前的create-react-app 腳手架已經更新,新下載的就已經支持webpack5了,大家也可以直接參考最新腳手架的config來進行升級,我這裏沒有參考)

總結

webpack升級到5後,打包速度從50s降到37s,打包體積從32.5.Mb降到17.2Mb,構建速度沒有統計,感覺還是很不錯的。
升級過程實際上就是一個不斷npm start、npm build然後根據提示查找原因的過程。期間查了不少webpack4升級5的博文,實際升級中能參考的十分有限,主要要是參考webpack官網升級指南、stackoverflow和各種的issue。坑還是蠻多的。這裏的項目配置除了less沒有額外的優化及修改,希望能給需要升級老項目的同學們提供一個參考,少踩一些坑。
