策略一：恐吓、欺凌和撒谎！一些特殊教育人员极力恐吓，不让家长为孩子争抢服务！恐吓可能是大声的声音、威胁、对父母的屈尊俯就，或者让父母感到不足或不舒服！
策略2：以上所有；但他们的脸上带著微笑！当一个特殊教育的人张开嘴说一些不真实的事情时，当他们微笑时，我绝对会感动！我不知道他们是否认为父母不会因为他们的面部表情而意识到谎言
策略3：引用不存在的法律，让他们看起来比他们更有权力！作为教育倡导者和家长，我自己已经多次看到这一点。示例：琼斯夫人，法律允许我们在钱用完时不得为儿童提供服务（不正确）！或者琼斯夫人，法律规定我们可以根据您的孩子的行为暂停您的孩子，只要我们愿意（不正确）！
策略四：听很多家长说，他们的特教人员居然改了教育记录，好和家长争吵！我所看到的是添加到孩子档案中的记录（父母不知道）以记录发生的事情。这就是为什么父母获取孩子的整个教育记录的副本（尤其是在发生争执期间）并保留以备将来参考的原因，这一点至关重要。如果您最终与学区进行了正当程序，请检查他们正在使用的所有记录，以确保它们与您拥有的记录相匹配！
策略 5：拒绝识别和接受儿童有资格获得特殊教育服务的残疾。许多父母必须获得独立评估（自费），以证明他们的孩子确实有残疾，并且有资格获得特殊教育服务！
技巧六：曲解测试数据，证明孩子不需要特殊教育服务！我听很多特殊教育人员说他们不相信考试成绩低，孩子因为考试成绩低不需要服务。这是不真实的；每当标准化测试显示该儿童低于其年龄和某个地区的相应同龄人时，该儿童应接受特殊教育服务，以便他们能够在教育方面取得进步。
策略 7：使用延迟或拒绝策略。许多特殊教育人员试图拖延家长对特殊教育及相关服务的要求。他们可能会忽略父母要求进行资格测试的请求，或者只是使用任何可用的策略来延迟请求！当延迟不再起作用时，许多人员只是说不；这当然是否认！通过以书面形式记录所有请求来应对这些策略！
策略8（这恰好是我最喜欢的）：夸大或编造纪律问题，以便他们可以改变孩子的标签或位置！一些学区希望给孩子贴上情绪障碍或行为障碍的标签，以便他们可以将他们安置在其他位置，并拒绝提供所需的特殊教育服务。
父母需要关注孩子的学业和教育需求，而不是让学区只关注行为。如果一个孩子在学业上挣扎，这可能会表现在他们的行为中！
