年初，陪伴老人在四川省醫院住院治療，醫生的專業，護士的認真，留下很深的印象。出於習慣，記錄了一些護士護理的場景細節。繪畫是我的一種表達語言，正值疫情的艱難時刻，在旅行中就着隨身攜帶的小紙籤和碳素墨水筆畫下20來張小畫，表達一下心情。繪製過程中，想起近代護理學奠基人弗洛倫斯·南丁格爾[1]和她那些給人以啓示的格言，覺得合適，也抄錄翻譯一些放在文中。並以此文：
致敬四川省醫院的醫護人員！
致敬疫情前線奮戰的醫護人員！
Nightingale Pledge [2]
I swear in front of God and the congregation that I will be pure all my life,faithful to my duties, and do my best to raise the standard of care; do not take or use harmful drugs for harm; keep the patient's household chores and secrets carefully, and assist the doctor in his treatment and in his welfare. Oath.
南丁格爾誓言
於上帝及會衆面前宣誓：
終身純潔，忠貞職守。
勿爲有損之事，勿取服或故用有害之藥。
盡力提高護理之標準，慎守病人家務及祕密。
竭誠協助醫生之診治，務謀病者之福利。
謹誓！
"Nursing is an art: and if it is to be made an art, it requires an exclusive devotion as hard a preparation as any painter's or sculptor's work; for what is the having to do with dead canvas or dead marble, compared with having to do with the living body, the temple of God's spirit? It is one of the Fine Arts: I had almost said, the finest of Fine Arts."
護理是一門藝術，跟畫家和雕塑家創作作品一樣，需要專心致志和艱辛準備；與面對沒有生命的畫布和大理石相比，護理面對的是聖靈之殿有生命的肉體，我不得不說，這也是藝術，一種最好的藝術。
"Nurses must be compassionate and willing to work."
護士必須要有同情心和一雙願意工作的手。
"There is a need for safety in life. One is to clean the air, the other
is to clear the water, the third is to circulate ditches, the fourth is
to sweep and sprinkle the house, the fifth is to have sufficient
sunlight."
人生欲求安全，當有五要。一是清潔空氣，二是澄清飲水，三是流通溝渠，四是掃灑屋宇，五是日光充足。
"Careful care can really prevent the epidemic."
悉心的護理才能真正避免疾病的流行。
"I am of certain convinced that the greatest heroes are those who
do their duty in the daily grind of domestic affairs whilst the world
whirls as a maddening dreidel."
我確信，最偉大的英雄是那些在日常工作中盡職盡責的人，雖然周圍的世界像一隻瘋狂的陀螺一樣在旋轉着。
"God is merciful, and for the sake of human beings,he has said a lot of absurd comforts."
上帝是仁慈的，因爲人類，
他說了很多荒謬的安慰話。
"I am destined to be a drifter. For my mission, I would rather not marry, socialize, or spend money."
我註定是個漂泊者。爲了我的使命，
我寧可不要婚姻，不要社交，不要金錢。
"The very first requirement in a hospital is that it should do the sick no harm."
醫院的首要要求是不能給病人造成傷害。
"Excuse me? My success is:I never seek excuses and never accept excuses."
藉口？我的成功歸於：我從不找藉口，
也絕不接受藉口。
"It is very well to say “be prudent, be careful,try to know each other.” But how are you to know each other? "
“謹慎，小心，試着互相瞭解” 聽起來有道理，
但是又怎麼去互相瞭解呢？
"Rather, ten times, die in the surf, heralding the way to a new world,than stand idly on the shore."
在通往新世界的衝浪中死去十次，
強於站在岸上無所事事。
"Mankind must make heaven before we can 'go to heaven' (as the phrase is) in this world as in any other."
在這個世界上，人必須 在“去天堂”之前先造就天堂。
"How very little can be done under the spirit of fear."
恐懼，是做不成什麼事的。
"I don't want to flatter, as long as people understand me."
我不需要奉承，只需要人們理解我。
"I think ones feelings waste themselves in words;they ought all to be distilled into actions which bring results."
我認爲人的情感浪費在言語中；它們應該在能夠帶來結果的行動中得到提煉。
"Let us never consider ourselves finished nurses. We must be learning all of our lives."
護理是一門不斷進步的藝術，靜止不動就會倒退。
永遠不要認爲自己已經是熟練的護士，
我們必須畢生學習。
"So never lose an opportunity of urging a practical beginning, however
small, for it is wonderful how often in such matters the mustard-seed
germinates and roots itself."
永遠不要錯過開始實踐的機會，哪怕這樣的開始小如芥末種子，也終將會生根發芽。
"Live the life while you have it. Life is a splendid gift-there is nothing small about it."
好好生活，生活是一份精彩的禮物，不可小覷。
[1] 弗洛倫斯·南丁格爾（Florence Nightingale，1820-1910年），近代護理學的奠基人。在克里米亞戰爭中培訓護士並在英國創辦護理學校。其撰寫的《醫院札記》和《護理札記》兩書，以及100餘篇論文，是護理教育和醫院管理的重要文獻。“南丁格爾”也成爲護士精神的代名詞。她是世界上第一個真正的女護士，其護理理念影響了全世界一代又一代的醫護人員。
[2] 南丁格爾誓言（Nightingale Pledge), 是爲紀念弗洛倫斯·南丁格爾而命名的護士誓約，是對護理職業道德和原則遵守的誓言，最早出現在19世紀末，目前有幾個版本，
