有关将嵌入式数据库升级到 Microsoft SQL Server的详细信息，请参考 installation_guide.pdf（第 4 章）。

该过程包括下列各步骤：

· 备份 Java 密钥库证书文件和 server.xml 文件，并从 \Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\directory 移动或复制这些文件。
· 备份嵌入式数据库，并从 \Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\ directory 移动或复制该备份。
· 安装 Microsoft SQL Server 2000 或 2005 的实例。
· 通过使用“更改卸载”选项，卸载 Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager 和嵌入式数据库。

警告：您必须使用“更改卸载”选项卸载 Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager，否则您的升级就会失败。此选项可让您卸载嵌入式数据库。不能使用“删除”选项卸载嵌入式数据库。

· 使用 Microsoft SQL Server 数据库重新安装 Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager

您必须在同一台计算机上或在带有原始 IP 地址和主机名的计算机上重新安装 Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager。
· 恢复 Java 密钥库证书
· 将嵌入式数据库恢复到 Microsoft SQL Server 数据库
· 重新配置 Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager，以便可识别 Microsoft SQL Server
