I'm writing to reconfirm the time when I should start my position as Senior Software Engineer. I ought to begin it next week, but due to some reasons, I have to postpone it.
My sister is holding her wedding ceremony next Saturday in Chengdu. Since this is one of the most important events of my family, I have to go back to my hometown and help them with the arrangement of the ceremony. I plan to go back next Sunday, but I’m not sure if I can book an airline ticket of that day.
I realize that this may cause inconvenience to you, but I hope, given the situation, you will allow me to take my position with you one or two weeks later than planned.
