1.An API for complications

Third parties have been able to make Android Wear watch faces for some time now, but the kind of information they can display is heavily dependent on the watch face itself—even with lots of options, it might be hard to find one that looks good and gives you the glance-able information you want.

Wear 2.0 introduces a full-fledged API for complications, those little snippets（片斷） of extra information on dumb（無聲） watches (or on the Apple Watch, for that matter) that show you things like the current date or moon phases. The Complications API lets app developers pass raw data to watch faces,which can format and style the data however they want to make it look good next to the rest of the watch face.Tapping on individual complications can take you into the full watch app for more information.

These complications should obviate（避免） the need for purpose-built weather or fitness-related watch faces, among others. All we need are apps and watch faces that use the API.

2、Custom complications

Functionally, the first big change is support for customizable "complications"on watch faces. Developers will soon be able todefine areas in their watch faces where additional information can be displayed, and the user can thenchoose what to put there. The process for choosing which data goes where is up to（取決於） the watch face developer, but in the end it comes down to（歸結爲） a system dialogue thatlets the user choose from any installed app that is set up to display a complication.

For example, your watch face could have room for two small complications and one large one — the two smaller ones couldshow the time in a different time zone and your step count, while the larger one could show the top item on your to-do list.At this point the choices are going to be limited because there are only a small set of test cases and developers haven't had time to make complications yet, but you can easily see developers building in great extensions（擴展） of their apps to show up as complications on your favorite watch face.

最後，Google 還介紹了另一個能讓第三方應用在錶盤上顯示自定義內容的 API。要對這項特性加以利用的話，首先你得啓用一款支持插件（complications）的錶盤。在此基礎上，便可以選擇要顯示的應用插件，而對應的內容範圍，則需要應用開發者預先設定好。另外，對錶盤設計者來說，只要你的作品支持插件，那任何採用了新 API 的應用就都能實現上述效果了。跟目前版本需要開發者專門去打造對應錶盤，才能顯示應用插件的做法相比，新 API 的出現無疑減少了很多工作量。而且過去用戶是無法在錶盤上看到來自不同應用的插件的，現在變成可以自由組合，可玩性顯然又高了許多。

Third-Party Complications

Apple has given third-party app developers the ability to add certain features to watch face complications, like flight status, precipitation, and more. 

1. Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
2. Select Complications from the main menu.
3. Available complications will be listed. You can remove complications you do not wish to be shown by tapping the red remove button next to the app. You can also organize the list by touching and holding the three bars on the left side of the app until it hovers. Then, drag it to your preferred position in the list.
4. With the watch face showing on Apple Watch, firmly press the screen to call up the customizations.
5. Select a watch face that allows you to customize the complications and tap Customize.
6. Swipe to the left to edit the complications and tap the module you wish to edit.
7. Rotate the Digital Crown until you get to the third-party complication you wish to add. Then, tap the screen to save the customized watch face.
