之前跟大家聊過譯員要多發散思維，嘗試拓展自己的業務。
今天就藉着Andovar一則招募信息跟大家簡單聊一聊language lead這個崗位。
這個崗位屬於localization模塊。
Andovar is looking for a localization specialist to work with us as a language lead for our English-Simplified Chinese eLearning projects for a client who is an international association for facility management professionals.
簡中語言對，網絡教育，遠程崗位，每月工作時間約爲 20 -50 小時。
This is a contract freelance and work-from-home position. The role would require approximately 20-50 hours per month and continue for at least 6 months.
招募要求
• University degree in linguistics or relevant industry subject
• Minimum 5 years’ translation experience within the subject matter
• Previous working experience or strong knowledge in facility management
• Fluent in English and the target language
• Able to work as part of a wider linguistic team
• Must have passed Andovar’s linguistic tests [95% score or above]
工作職責：
• Act as primary point of review on behalf of the client
• Escalate linguistic queries which require clarification to internal stakeholders [volunteers]
• Evaluate tests to select qualified linguists for the project
• Be on calls with the client / client volunteers along with Andovar Project Manager/ Account Manager to discuss project scope and feedback
• Respond to client / vendor communications in a timely manner
• Review key deliverables within the timeframe set [to be determined based on schedule]
• Help create and maintain style guides / instructions / termbase
• Review edited translations and provide feedback to translators and editors for improvements and to ensure consistency with terminology, style, etc.

圈圈：
Andovar是一家新加坡機構，Proz評分挺好4.8，我也聽說過一些譯員是跟它家合作的，之前也發佈過它家的招募，可靠性沒問題。
另外，這個項目其實挺有意思的。它招的是Language Lead，而不是普通的translator，職責範圍明顯要大得多。
首先它要求應聘者具有過硬的翻譯水平，因爲他不僅需要負責評估試譯文，選出合格的譯員加入團隊，還需要審覈交付的譯文，給translator和editor提供反饋意見，
其次，需要出色的溝通與協作能力，需要跟譯員團隊，Andovar的客戶/項目經理以及客戶三方溝通順，確保項目正常運轉。
最後，還要有能力編制Style Guide，提供說明以及整理術語。
簡單地概括一下就是：
translator只要保證自己的譯文質量過關就可以，還有editor幫忙查漏補缺。
而language lead要負責項目整體翻譯質量過關。
這個崗位的招募要求也比較高：
要求相關學歷背景，要求對應的翻譯經驗，要求專業知識/工作背景，雙語流暢，溝通協作能力強。
據我瞭解，國外翻譯機構招這種的還挺多。
比如說，Welocalize也在招。
當然，職責範圍越大，責任越重，要求越高，好處也有不少。
1. 首先，當然是價位會高。
普通譯員做不了，必然要成熟的譯員來做。因爲不僅涉及translation和review工作，還包含溝通答疑部分。
所以都是按時薪計價，會比較高，有能力的同學大着膽子去報好了。
PS：記得註明是什麼幣種，比如說新元。
現在不是很推薦美元，匯率跌得我心疼……
2. 一般是重要客戶的長期項目纔會配備language lead，所以開始合作之後，項目會比較穩定，工作量有保證。
比如招募裏面提到的每月20-50個小時。而根據我的經驗來看，項目剛開始的時候，流程還不成熟，往往工作時還會更長些，上正軌之後就會好一些，可以作爲一項穩定的收入業務。
3. 這個崗位要對接多方，參與多個環節，所以能夠學到很多東西。
比如說一個長期品牌項目整個運作流程是什麼樣，是接收稿件到交付，再到反饋，全程都可以參與其中。
對於沒有參與過這類項目的同學而言，是個很好的鍛鍊機會，能夠增長很多見識，也能認識不少同行。
