"lunch" refers to a noon-time meal 通常而言，lunch指的是中午吃的那顿饭 and "supper" to an evening meal regardless of size, 而supper指的是晚上吃的那顿饭 while "dinner" specifically refers to a larger or more formal meal. 而dinner指的是比较丰盛的、比较正式的那顿饭。
以下这些大餐只能用dinner表示 Sunday dinner, Thanksgiving dinner
