Asking for Opinions

We use these expressions when we want to ask what another person thinks about something. All these questions are followed by a noun or a noun phrase.

How do you feel about the new television show?
What do you think of my new computer?
How do you feel about eating Japanese food for lunch?

 

Giving Opinions

We use these expressions when we want to tell another person what we think about something. All these expressions are followed by a subject.

In my opinion, the new television show is terrible.
Personally, I think you have the best computer available.
To me, Japanese food is perfect for lunch.

 

Not Giving an Opinion

We use these expressions when we don't know what we think or when we don't feel strongly about something. I don't really have an opinion about is usually followed by a noun or noun phrase.

I'm not sure how I feel about that.
I don't really have an opinion about the new television show.
