Down by the Station 是一首流传很广的英语国家儿歌，在Child's Play，鹅妈妈等童谣丛书中都有收录。本周我们选择的是Child's Play版的洞洞书，这本书细节众多，描述的是清晨火车站里的忙碌景象，六段童谣中的内容和对应的图片都略有不同，建议家长们在讲读的过程中指导小朋友主动寻找图片中的不同之处哦。

What are these people doing？
这些人在干什么呢？
They are waiting for a bus at the bus stop.

They bring some people to the station and take others away.
他们带了一些乘客到火车站，又带走一些乘客。
That is the job of a bus.

See the tractor driver loading up the trailer:

And the tractor driver comes to pick up the turnips and takes them to the market today.

Here come two young ladies.
这边走来了两位年轻的女士。
Both of them take their suitcases.
她们都带着行李箱。
They go to the station to catch the early train by taxi.
她们是坐公交车到火车站赶早班车的。
After taking the two ladies to.the station, the taxi driver polishes the taxi windows and waits for more passengers to.come.
在送完那两位女士后，出租车司机擦了擦车窗，等待下一位乘客的到来。
Down by the station,early in the morning,
大清早，在那火车站旁，
See the great big trucks all in a row.
瞧！那大大的卡车排成排。
See the truck driver loading up the parcels:
看那卡车司机，装载着包裹，
Honk! Honk! Honk!
轰轰！轰轰！轰轰！
And off we go!
我们出发喽！
Look, a truck driver is sitting on a box and having breakfast.
看，一个卡车司机正坐在箱子上吃早餐。
He has bread and tea today.
今天他吃的是面包和茶。
You like bread, too.

After breakfast, a day's work begins.
