初一女兒寫的回憶小文(英文/配圖)

Many things have happened during 13 years I’ve lived, but some events or occasions are more worth remembering than others. Most people find that it’s their first birthday or first day at school, but to be honest, I don’t remember a thing about what I did for my first or second birthday.

My name is xxx and I am 12, turning 13. My birthday is in October on the xxth and I was born in xxxx. I spent the first few months with my aunt and her tortoise that lived on the balcony.

When we first moved into our house, I was around 7 months old and I’m still living in the same house now. I remember first walking through the wooden door and thinking everything was so tall. Turns out I was just actually short.

A bit of time went by and I finally started pre-school (which at the time I thought was called Play School), and the only thing I remembered was being read stories and going to sleep.

When I was in year four or five, my family friends would always ask me to dog sit their dog for around a week while they were away on holiday. I always loved dogs, so I was kind of sad when they came back from their holiday.

One birthday party I randomly remember was one of most planned parties I’ve ever been to. It was a few years ago in primary school. She had it at her house, and the best part, we got free food. One time we were putting on glowstick bracelet, I accidentally broke the plastic and a bit of the liquid squirted onto my shirt right before we were about to eat and I thought it was no big deal, but they freaked out. I had to go to the bathroom to wash it off,  but I couldn’t find the way to the bathroom. When I came back, there were bowls of chips, a tray of fairy bread and chicken nuggets. After we ate all the junk food that filled us up quite quickly, the birthday girl wanted to watch a movie. At that time, she was obsessed with the movie descendants, so she practically begged us to watch it with her (not that if mattered if we said no). After the long movie that I don’t exactly remember, her mum took pictures of us as a group holding props with an instax and we all fought about who would get the best looking border. This was one of the only moments that I remember clearly.

When we finally reached year six, the year went by so fast, it was formal already. There were balloons everywhere and we got free food. Then it was graduation and going under the arch hurt my back more than carrying a high school bag. That’s were my primary school life ended and my high school life started.

Around the same time, I used to play AFL, we made it to the finals but I had to leave for Uluru on the exact same day.

I wasn’t able to play that match but I had a great time in Uluru, especially on the camel ride which happened at sunset.

I also went to Fiji for a few days and stayed on an island that I quickly learned my way around. The water was so clear and there were heaps of events to deep me occupied.
