Common Diagnostic steps for Internet Explorer

1.      Removing all the stored user identities

2.      Uncheck the malicious ActiveX component

3.      Uninstall the non-standard programs

4.      Run IE7 program in safe mode

5.      Check Event log

6.      Restore IE settings to default

7.      Check Standard Proxy settings

8.      Remove Temporary files

a.      Backup Cookies

b.      Backup Personal Certificates (*)

9.      Check Standard security settings

10.  Run IPCONFIG to check IP settings

11.  Check DNS settings for suffix from LAN Settings

12.  Disable if multi virtual network adapter exists

13.  Check hosts

14.  Reinstall IE
