1.K-NN算法可以完成很多分類任務,但是其中的一個較大的缺點是其無法給出數據的內在含義,決策樹能在數據形式上能對數據產生很好的解讀。決策樹能夠挖掘數據中蘊含的信息,因此決策樹可以應用於不熟悉的數據集,從中提取一系列的規則,而這個過程也是機器學習的過程。

2.構建決策樹時,如果該數據集的分類還不是同一類,計算該數據集的信息熵和不同特徵條件下的信息熵,選擇信息增益(information gain)最大的的特徵作爲劃分點,根據這劃分點劃分爲子集,然後對子集遞歸上述步驟,直到子集的數據都是同一類或者子集數據中無特徵可以一繼續分。信息熵(entropy)的計算H=-∑p(xi)logp(xi)。當第二個停止條件使用完了所有特徵,這時可以挑選出現次數最多的類別作爲子集的類別。

3.決策樹的流程:收集數據–>準備數據(樹的構造算法只適應標稱型數據,數值型數據要離散化)–>分析數據(可以使用任何方法,樹構造完成後可以檢查圖形是否符合預期)–>訓練算法(構造樹)–>測試算法(使用經驗樹計算錯誤率)–>使用算法(此步驟適合任何監督學習算法,從而使決策樹更好地理解數據的內在含義)

4.一些決策樹使用二分法劃分數據,ID3根據每一個不同的特徵值劃爲數據。C4.5和CART算法在運行時並不是總是每次劃分分組時都要消耗特徵。也因爲如此,這些算法會引起一些問題。

5.K-NN算法計算的分類器無法持久化,而決策樹算法計算的決策樹可以持久化。決策樹算法的優點:計算的複雜度不高,輸出的結果易於理解,對中間值的缺失不敏感,可以處理不相干特徵數據。缺點:可能會產生過度匹配。使用數據類型爲數值型和標稱型。

該決策樹可能已經產生過度匹配,可以通過裁剪決策樹,合併相鄰無法產生大量信息增益的葉結點,消除過度匹配。
