女巫溫妮想去太空冒險。她用魔法變出一枚火箭，乘着火箭來到了一顆小行星上。在那兒，溫妮遇到了很多太空兔子。太空兔子不喜歡喫胡蘿蔔，卻把溫妮的火箭吃了個精光！沒有火箭，溫妮該怎麼回家呢？

Winnie the Witch loved to look through her telescope at the night sky.
女巫溫妮喜歡透過望遠鏡遙望太空。
It was huge and dark and mysterious.
夜空遼闊，深邃，又神祕。
"I'd love to go into space, Wilbur,"Winnie would say.
“威爾伯，我想去太空。”溫妮總是這樣說。
"It would be such a big adventure."
“那肯定是一次精彩的大冒險。”
Wilbur, Winnie's big black cat,loved to be outside at night too.
溫妮的大黑貓威爾伯，晚上也喜歡待在外面。
He liked to chase moths and bats and shadows.
他喜歡追飛蛾，追蝙蝠，追影子。
That was enough adventure for Wilbur.
這對威爾伯來說已經是冒險了。
Then one night, when the moon and stars were bright,
一天晚上，皓月當空，星月燦爛，
Winnie suddenly said, "Let's go into space right now, Wilbur!"
溫妮忽然說“我們現在就去太空吧。”
"Meeow?"said Wilbur.
“喵？”威爾伯叫了一聲。
"But how will we get there?" wondered Winnie.
“可我們怎麼去呢？”溫妮心想。
"We need a rocket, and I don't have a rocket."
“我們需要一枚火箭，可我哪有一枚火箭呢？”
Then she looked up at the moon,and she had a wonderful idea.
她擡頭看了看月亮，忽然想到了一個絕妙的好主意。
She waved her magic wand,shouted, ABRACADABRA!
她揮動魔法棒，大喊一聲，ABRCADABRA!
...and there, on the roof, was a rocket,
一枚火箭出現在溫妮的屋頂上，
Winnie packed a picnic basket,
溫妮提上裝滿食物的野餐籃，
got her Big Book of Spells, just in case,
爲了以防萬一她還帶上了魔法大全，
and ran up the stairs with Wilbur.
然後和威爾伯一起踏上了梯子。
Winnie shut her eyes, waved her magic wand,
溫妮閉上眼睛，揮動魔法棒，
and shouted, ABRACADABRA!
然後大喊一聲ABRACADABRA!
The rocket shot off the roof and into space.
火箭從屋頂騰空而起，飛向了太空。
It went very very fast.
它飛得太快了。
And it was hard to steer.
溫妮很難控制方向。
"Oops!"Winnie nearly flew into a satellite.
“天哪！”溫妮差點撞上一顆人造衛星。
"Oops! Was that a flying saucer?"
“天哪！那是一隻飛碟嗎？”
"Oops! That was a falling star, Wilbur!"
“天哪！威爾伯，那有一顆流星！”
"Meeow!"said Wilbur.
“喵嗚！”威爾伯大喊一聲。
He put his paws over his eyes.
嚇得用爪子捂住了眼睛。
"We'll find a lovely planet for our picnic, Wilbur,"Winnie said.
“威爾伯，我們找一個好玩的星球野餐吧。”溫妮說。
Wilbur peeped out from behind his paws.
威爾伯從爪子縫裏往外看。
There were little planets everywhere.
發現到處都是小行星。
"Here's a sweet little planet,"Winnie said.
“這顆小行星不錯啊。”溫妮說。
"We'll have our picnic here."
“我們就在這野餐吧。”
"Purr!"said Wilbur. He loved picnics.
“喵嗚~”威爾伯應了一聲，他最喜歡野餐了。
PLOP! The rocket landed.
撲通，火箭着陸了。
All was quiet and peaceful.
四周非常安靜。
But there were funny little holes everywhere.
但地上到處都是些奇怪的小洞。
Wilbur looked down the holes.
威爾伯往洞裏看了看。
They seemed to be empty...
好像都是空的......
Winnie unpacked the food.
溫妮把喫的都拿了出來。
There were pumpkin scones,
有南瓜烤餅，
chocolate muffins, some cherries,
巧克力鬆餅，櫻桃，
and cream for Wilbur. Yum!
還有給威爾伯準備的奶油。真好喫！
A little head popped out of a hole,
突然，一個小腦袋從地上的洞裏鑽了出來，
and then there were heads everywhere.
不一會，周圍鑽出了無數個腦袋。
"Rabbits!"said Winnie.
“兔子！”溫妮說。
"Space rabbits are coming to our picnic!"
“太空兔子也來野餐啦！”
"Meeow!"said Wilbur.
“喵嗚！”威爾伯尖叫起來。
A space rabbit hopped over to try some cream. Yuck!
一隻太空兔子跳過來嚐了嚐奶油，不好喫！
Another space rabbit tried a pumpkin scone.
另一隻太空兔子咬了一口南瓜烤餅。
Horrible.
太難吃了。
Chocolate muffins? Disgusting.
巧克力鬆餅？噁心。
Cherries? Yuck!
櫻桃呢？難喫！
Then some of the space rabbits hopped over to therocket.
一些太空兔子跳到了火箭上，他們聞了聞火箭。
They sniffed it...and took a bite.
然後咬了一口...
Then the rocket was covered in space rabbits.
於是火箭上很快就爬滿了太空兔子。
"Oh no!"shouted Winnie.
“哦不！”溫妮大叫起來。
She waved her magic wand,shouted, ABRACADABRA!
她趕緊揮動魔法棒，大喊一聲，ABRACADABRA!
and carrots and lettuces rained down on the rabbits.
胡蘿蔔和生菜稀里嘩啦地落在了兔子的身上。
But the space rabbits didn't like carrots or lettuces.
可是啊，這些太空兔子根本就不愛喫胡蘿蔔和生菜。
"Of course!" said Winnie.
“我明白了！”溫妮說。
She waved her magic wand,shouted, ABRACADABRA!
她揮動魔法棒，大喊一聲，ABRACADABRA!
...and there was a giant pile of metal.
地上立刻出現了一些金屬製品。
Saucepans, wheelbarrows, bicycles,cars, even a fire engine.
有平底鍋，手推車，自行車，汽車，甚至還有消防車。
Yes!That was what space rabbits liked.
沒錯，這些纔是太空兔子愛喫的東西。
Scrumptious! But it was too late...
太好吃了！可是已經太晚了...
The space rabbits had eaten up all of Winnie's metal rocket.
太空兔子把溫妮的火箭吃了個精光。
"Blithering broomsticks!"shouted Winnie.
“真是糟糕透頂了！”溫妮大叫了起來，
"Now how will we get home?"
“現在我們該怎麼回家呀？”
"Meeeow!"said Wilbur.
“喵嗚！”威爾伯叫了一聲。
Winnie looked at the giant pile of metal.
溫妮看着地上一堆金屬。
"Perhaps,"she said."Maybe. I wonder."
“或許，”她思索着，“或者，我想...”
She looked in her Big Book of Spells.
她翻了翻魔法大全，
"Yes!" she said.
“好！”溫妮說。
Then she picked up her magic wand,
她拿起魔法棒，
waved it five times,
連揮五下，
and shouted, ABRACADABRA!
大喊道，ABRACADABRA!
There was a flash of fire, a bang...
只聽見火光一閃，然後砰地一聲......
and there, on top of the giant pile of metal,
在一大堆金屬上出現了
was a rattling, roaring scrap metal rocker.
一枚用廢棄金屬製成的火箭，這枚火箭叮了當啷，還轟轟作響。
Winnie and Wilbur climbed up to the rattling,
溫妮和威爾伯趕緊爬上了這枚火箭叮了當啷，
roaring rocket and jumped in.
轟轟作響的火箭，跳進了倉裏。
VROOM! The rocket blasted away.
轟！火箭起飛了，
It rushed and roared through space.
它轟隆隆地駛向太空。
WHUMP! The rocket landed in Winnie's garden.
砰！火箭降落在了溫妮的花園裏。
"That was an adventure, Wilbur," Winnie said.
“這真是一個大冒險啊，威爾伯，”溫妮說。
"But I'm glad we're home."
“很高興我們安全到家了。”
"Purr, purr, purr,"said Wilbur.
“喵~喵~喵~”威爾伯叫道，
He was very glad to be home.
能夠安全到家他也很高興。
